<Vice-President Mr. A F M Conway>
Vice-President of Sports Federation and Olympic
Committee of Hong Kong, China (since 1992)
AFM(Con)Conway has been involved in Hong Kong sports
since 1960. He has represented Hong Kong in athletics
and hockey and was formerly a Division One Squash
player.
Con was Hon. Recorder of the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic
Association from 1965 to 1970. He was Chairman of the
Hong Kong Hockey Association Umpires Section from 1970
to 1980 and President of the Hong Kong Hockey
Association from 1980 to 2001. He is currently Honorary
Life President of the Hong Kong Hockey Association and
is a member of the Asian Hockey Federation Finance
Committee. He also is a member of the Sports Commission,
Major Events Committee.
In the Federation, Con represented the Hong Kong Amateur
Athletic Association from 1965 to 1970 and the Hong Kong
Hockey Association from 1970 to 2001.
He has been a member of the Headquarter office of the
Hong Kong Delegation at the Bangkok 1998 Asian Games,
Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Osaka 2001 East Asian Games
and the Busan 2002 Asian Games. |

Karl C. Kwok is the Vice-President of Sports Federation
and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (since 1998),
President of Hong Kong Sailing Federation, Chairman of
Wing On Company International Limited and a director of
Tai Cheung Holdings Limited. Both companies are listed
on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He was educated at
Carleton College (BA, class of ’71), Minnesota and
Wharton School (Class of ’73), University of
Pennsylvania where he obtained an MBA degree. He joined
the Wing On Group in 1974. He has over 29 years of
experience in senior management positions in banking and
finance. He is the Chairman of the Board of The Trustees
of Chung Chi College of The Chinese University of Hong
Kong, a member of University Council and Executive
Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a member
of the Council and Executive Committee member of City
University of Hong Kong, Chairman of The Hong
Kong-America Center, a Trust member and Executive
Committee member of The Outward Bound Trust of Hong Kong
Limited as well as a member of the Inland Revenue Board

Vice-President of Sports Federation and

Mr. Yue was awarded “Medal of Honour” in
2003 by the HKSAR Government. He was appointed as a
member of Hubei Province Committee of Chinese People’s
Political Consultative Conference and a member of Hubei
United Youth Association Executive in 2003 and 2005

<Hon.
Secretary General Mr. Pang Chung, BBS>
Pang Chung (BA
(Hon) 1965, University of Hong Kong; M.Sc 1995,
Leicester University) was an elite track and field
athlete in the 1950s and 60s, once holding the Hong Kong
records of high jump and triple jump. Twice recipient of
the Hong Kong Best Athlete of the Year in 1960 and 1970
respectively, he represented the territory to 1962 and
1966 Asian Games. As a sports administrator, he was
appointed Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong Delegation in
many occasions, such as the Asian Games and Commonwealth
Games, but the most important of all was as the leader
of the contingent to Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996 when
Ms. Lee Lai Shan captured the first Olympic Gold Medal
for Hong Kong. Currently he is the Hon. Secretary
General of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of
Hong Kong, China; International Course Director of
Olympic Solidarity; member of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA)
Education & Culture Committee; Convenor of the Sports
and Recreation Industry Working Group, Skills Upgrading
Scheme, Vocational Training Council (2003-2005); Member
of Elite Sports Committee of Sports Commission
(2004-now); Board of Member of 2009 East Asian Games
(Hong Kong) Limited; Hon. Secretary General of the
Planning Committee of the 2009 East Asian Games and
Hon. Secretary General of Executive Sub-Committee of the
2009 East Asian Games
Career-wise,
serving the government for more than three decades, Mr.
Pang began as a secondary school teacher after
graduation from the University and then an Education
Officer in the Education Department in the 60s and the
70s. He was then appointed to the Ex-Urban Services
Department to serve as a stadium manager for the
construction of the first indoor stadium, Queen
Elizabeth Stadium, in 1980 and the Hong Kong Coliseum in
1993 which subsequently has created a vibrant
environment that the territory has never been for
spectacular sports and mass indoor entertainment,
fostering a new culture of Cantonese pop music in Hong
Kong.
Rising from the
rank of cultural manager, he became the Assistant
Director of the Ex-Urban Services Department in the
1990s. In retirement from the civil services in 1998, he
was also awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the HKSAR
Government in 2002. He is at present engaged as the
Marketing Director of Join Merit Industries Ltd., a
rental company of LED screens specialized in
entertainment and advertising industry and is a Hon.
Treasurer of the South China Athletic Association. |
