Cyclist WONG Kam Po clinched the first Gold Medal while the Women's Swimming Relay added the third bronze for Hong Kong

Wong Kam Po captured the first gold medal for Hong Kong in the 15th Doha Asian Games today. He came first from behind and narrowly edged his Iranian and Korean opponents before the finishing point.

This is his second gold medal in the Asian Games in the Men's Individual Road Race. He won a gold medal in Bangkok in 1998 and a bronze medal in 2002 Busan. Po was greeted by President FOK, Chef de Mission Mrs. Vivien FUNG, coach SHEN and other elected officers from the SF&OC after receiving his gold medal.

The Women's Relay Team brought home a bronze medal in the Women's 4x100M Freestyle Relay with a new Hong Kong record of 3: 48.82”. The winning team was made up of Hannah WILSON, Sherry TSAI, LEE Leong Kwai and SZE Hang Yu.
