The Federation organized the Media Luncheon today (6 February 2007) for the Sports Press Members to offer them the opportunity to understand the mechanism of the voting whilst also inviting them to vote for their favourite athletes and teams. With their in depth knowledge of sport in Hong Kong and their support, their votes definitely will give added credibility and value to the Awards.
It is very encouraging to announce that as of 5 February 2007, we have received over 47,000 votes and there were nearly 10,000 votes more compared to last year's. This certainly reflects the community's increasing support towards sports in Hong Kong.
Apart from the votes from the Judging Panels as well as sports reporters votes from the members of public are also crucial to the Awards. Show your support and vote for your favourite athletes now!
