In response to the appeal of the Federation, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has allocated 20 E (Journalist) and 14 Ep (Photographer) passes to the eligible Hong Kong based printed media through the Federation. Compared with that in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, an increase of 42% for E (Journalist) and 250% for Ep (Photographer) are recorded. Following the usual practice, the press accreditations were allocated to the 14 recognized local print media by ballot draw officiated by The Hon. Timothy T. T. FOK, GBS, JP, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (the Federation) cum the Hong Kong Sports Press Association (HKSPA); Mr. PANG Chung, BBS, Hon. Secretary General of the Federation; Mr. Victor HUI, SBS, JP, Vice President of the Federation cum the HKSPA and Mr. PUI Kwan Kay, MH, Vice President of the HKSPA.
