Torchbearers’ Reception of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong

The Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong presented by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (the Federation) in conjunction with the Hong Kong Special Administration Region Government will be held on Friday, 2 May 2008.

Immediately after the Briefing by the Federation, a Reception was held at the Regal Hotel, Hong Kong for the Torchbearers to meet the press for individual interviews. At the occasion, the media was formally informed of the 120 Torchbearers for the leg of Hong Kong and their respective allotted legs. The brief descriptions of the Torchbearers and their allotted legs along the route are at Appendices I and II respectively.
The guests officiating at the Briefing were The Hon. Timothy T T FOK, GBS, JP, President of the Federation and also the Co-Chairman of the Torch Relay Steering Committee, ; Mrs Carrie YAU, JP, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs and also the
Co-Chairman of the Torch Relay Steering Committee, Mr Thomas CHOW, JP, Director of LCSD; Mr PANG Chung, BBS, Hon. Secretary General of the Federation and also Co-Chairman of the Torch Relay Organizing Committee, and Mr Vincent Liu, Deputy Director (Leisure Services) and also Co-Chairman of the Torch Relay Organizing Committee.
