Cycling Coach, Wong Man (黃敏), has become the first ever Hong Kong coach to be awarded an Olympic Solidarity Coaching Scholarship. Wong will leave for the World Cycling Training Centre in Switzerland this weekend as the recipient of a three months, fully funded sports training course which will add to her expertise in coaching Hong Kong’ elite youth cyclists.

“This is a rare and unique opportunity for me. Usually, it takes many years and situations to gather the knowledge that I will be exposed to over the next few months. I am looking forward to brining back a new level of expertise and professionalism which I can pass on to Hong Kong Cyclists” Wong Man said.
Wong’s role for the Hong Kong Cycling Association involves finding young cyclists for the elite team, planning and implementing training programmes for the Youth Squad and supervising the part time coaches and mechanics.
This award is not only a wonderful opportunity for Wong Man as one of the country’s leading sports coaches but will further add to the success of Hong Kong cycling and our future Olympic ambitions.
