The Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the Bali 1st Asian Beach Games (1st ABG) had concluded successfully at Jockey Club Lecture Theatre, Olympic House on 30 September 2008.

In this evening, The Hon. Timothy FOK, GBS, JP, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (the Federation), presented the HKSAR flag to Mr. Karl KWOK, Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong Delegation to the 1st ABG with the witness of SF&OC guests, including government officials and NSA representatives.
The Hong Kong Delegation comprising 52 members would participate in the forthcoming 1st ABG which will be held from 18 – 26 October 2008 in Bali, Indonesia. After a conscientious selection process, a contingent of 30 athletes would represent Hong Kong to take part in 7 sports out of 17 official sports and 2 demonstration sports: Beach Handball, Beach Volleyball, Body Building, Marathon Swimming, Sailing, Triathlon and Windsurfing.
To further promote the 1st ABG to the public, the Federation has established a webpage in our official website to introduce the Games and the Hong Kong Delegation. During the period of 1st ABG, the most updated competition results of the Hong Kong Delegation will be uploaded onto the webpage. For details, please visit our official website at www.hkolympic.org.
