Mainland Sport Delegation Visit Hong Kong for Sports Cooperation Agreement between Chinese Olympic Committee and Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (1 March 2004 to 3 March 2004)

To facilitate exchanges and strengthen cooperation between the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) and Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) on sports development in a well-structured and orderly manner, the top level officials of the two National Olympic Committees (NOCs), after some keen and earnest discussions, have reached a sports cooperation agreement.


Lead by the Chef de Mission, Mr. YU Zai-qing, IOC Member, Vice Minister of General Administration of Sport, Vice President of COC, a seven-member Delegation will arrive at Hong Kong on 1 March 2004 by flight: CA101 (08:10 – 11:15). A luncheon is also arranged by Dr. Patrick C. P. Ho, Secretary for Home Affairs, on the same day.

The Sports Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony will be conducted on 1 March 2004 at 6:30pm at the Ballroom of Government House. The Agreement will be duly signed by the Hon. Timothy T. T. FOK, President of SF&OC and Mr. YU Zai-qing, Vice President of COC. Following the Ceremony, a cocktail reception will be served to all distinguished guests and then the Hon. Timothy T. T. FOK, President of the Federation will host a dinner reception to welcome the Delegation.

On Tuesday morning, the Delegation will visit Hong Kong sports facilities and related departments. The Delegation will leave Hong Kong to Macau on 3 March 2004 and the 3-day visit of COC will be concluded.
