HKACEP Seminar on ¡§Athletes Career Development¡¨

The HKACEP Seminar on ¡§Athletes Career Development¡¨, hosted by the Hong Kong Athletes Career & Education Programme (HKACEP) of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), was successfully concluded Tuesday, 25 August 2009.

There were over 100 athletes, coaches and their relatives came from different sports field attended this Seminar. It was grateful to have three of the HKACEP supporting organizations, including The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Parks Supplies Company Limited and i-Cable Sports Limited as the guest speaking organizations of this Seminar.
Before its commencement, Mr. HUI Chun Fui, Victor, Chairman of the HKACEP, presented souvenirs to the companies¡¦ representatives for thanking their support and sharing of the movement of the recent labour market with our athletes out of their busy schedule.
Mr. Victor HUI said, ¡§The message is clear that there are corporations which would treasure athletes¡¦ contribution in both the sports field and society. These corporations had their particular reasons to hire retired athletes and assist them to be involved in the community. Serving athletes can thus comfortably concentrate on their training in order to strive for the best for Hong Kong as long as circumstances permitted.¡¨
During the Seminar, three companies briefed their latest labour market information, including the academic requirement of different posts and explaining their interests in recruiting athletes as their employees. The audiences also actively involved during the Q&A session, with organizations trying to give their responses enthusiastically. The Seminar was concluded in a most congenial atmosphere.
