“Panasonic Sports Scholarship Programme” jointly presented by Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and Shun Hing Group

Panasonic Sports Scholarship Programme (Scholarship Programme) is jointly organized by Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and Shun Hing Group. Shun Hing Group is the sole agent of Panasonic products in Hong Kong and Macau and is a keen supporter of sports activities. Panasonic is also The Olympic Partner (TOP) and is always fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.

Shun Hing Group will sponsor a grand total of HK$ 1.5 million to the Scholarship Programme. The aim of the Scholarship Programme is to assist athletes in Hong Kong to better prepare and strive for best results in the London 2012 Olympic Games. Hong Kong athletes who are practising a summer Olympic Sports are eligible to apply through the nomination by respective NSAs. Ten athletes will be selected and each athlete will receive a total of HK$ 150,000 to be utilized as the discretion of each qualified athletes e.g. access to appropriate training facilities, to specialize coaching service in the relevant sporting discipline and to regular medical and scientific assistance and control.
This scholarship will last for 18 months within the period between August 2010 and January 2012. The Awardees list will be announced in August 2010.
