This Seminar is organized by
the Hong Kong Olympic Academy (HKOA) under the auspices of the Sports Federation
and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC). The HKOA specially invites
seven experts from the sports industry and
ex-athletes of the Hong Kong Delegation to the Olympic Games to be the guest
lecturers of the occasion. They will deliver an hour presentation to those
enrolled schools’ students on the topics of Olympic history, Olympic movement
and its development and also briefly introduce the upcoming Athens Olympic Games
and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. After the presentation, an interactive
question-and-answer section will be followed, aiming at stimulating and
enhancing the students’ level of involvement of the Seminar.

Colleges Athletic Association;

Patrick CHAN, Member, Hong Kong Post-Secondary Colleges Athletic Association;

Ms. HON Sze Sze, Hon. Secretary, Women & Sport Committee, SF&OC;

Ms. LAU Cheung Cheung, International Olympic Academy participant
in 2002;

Ms. Fenella NG, ex-athlete of the Hong Kong Delegation to the
Olympic Games (1994, 1996 swimmer, 2000 rower);

Mr. Michael TSE, ex-athlete of the Hong Kong Delegation to the
Olympic Games (1996 rower); and
-
Ms. Alison WONG, Executive Director, Hong Kong Sports Association
for the Physically Disabled.
This Seminar has attracted an
overwhelming response from nearly 80 secondary schools. Due to limited time and
resources, only 31 schools are selected by ballot and over 13,000 students will
be benefited from this Seminar.
