The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China
(SF&OC) is holding a Public Voting Announcement Press Conference today to
announce this year’s nominees list. As of 6 December 2004, the organizer
received 142 nominations from 30 member Associations, with 126 individual
athletes, 4 team only sports and 11 team events. Details of nominations are as
follow: -

The entire nominees list and their profiles are uploaded on
the SF&OC website for public voting. Citizens who had vote through the website
may have the opportunity to obtain a sports products coupon of HK$1,000,
sponsored by the adidas Hong Kong Limited.
In addition, to further promote the Awards, there will be a
“Guess the Winners” Contest for the category “Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards”,
which is jointly presented by the SF&OC, the Oriental Daily News and The Sun in
mid of February 2005. Viewers who can successfully guess 4 winners out of 8 will
be eligible for a lucky draw. Participants will receive electronic appliances
sponsored by the Samsung Electronics H. K. Co., Ltd., valued over HK$50,000.
Details of this Contest will be published on the related newspapers.
The public voting posters and leaflets will be distributed to
the 18 Districts Offices of LCSD, all sports centers, primary and secondary
schools as well as all sports associations. Support Hong Kong athletes, vote
now!
