Found in 1914, The Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) witnessed the changes of local football throughout the years. In 1954, HKFA registered as “The Hong Kong Football Association Limited”, and enrolled as a member of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
In order to deal with increasing workload and effective communication with outsiders, HKFA had submitted a proposal to the Government for building a permanent office in 1972 and moved to present location in 1979. With FIFA’s support, HKFA has undertaken a major renovation on its headquarters in Homantin.
HKFA always sticks tight and close to the principle of devoting every possible effort and resources to promote Hong Kong football. We are proud to produce numerous household football stars during the years, and will continue to allocate more resources in supporting various levels of Representative Teams and football activities. With that, local football will grow healthy and brightly.
Furthermore, we are experienced and capable of organizing major football competitions, including several famous matches. This would allow public enjoying the fun of football and facilitate football promotions in the community.
