Hong Kong, China Delegation attended the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Macao East Asian Games

The Opening Ceremony of the 4th Macao East Asian Games was held today at 20:00 in the Macau Stadium. Delegations of the nine National Olympic Committees (NOCs) marched in behind their national flags. The Hong Kong, China Delegation led by Mrs. Vivien FUNG, Chef de Mission and LAW Hiu-fung, Hong Kong rowing athlete, as the flag bearer, was the second delegation matched in to the stadium. To show support to the Macao East Asian Games Organizing Committee (MEAGOC), the biggest ever contingent of 231 members was sent from Hong Kong to the Games to compete in 14 sports namely Aquatics, Athletics, Basketball, DanceSport, Dragon Boat, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Karatedo, Rowing, Shooting, Tenpin Bowling, Tennis and Wushu.
