The Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the XX Olympic Winter Games was held today (13 Jan). The Ceremony was scheduled to be held at 6:00pm, in the Jockey Club Lecture Theatre of Olympic House. However, since both of the officiating guests, Dr. Patrick HO, JP, Secretary for Home Affairs and The Honorable Timothy FOK, GBS, JP, President of the SF&OC were in the Legislative Council Meeting concerning the funding application for the organization of 2009 East Asian Games, the delegation met them at the Legislative Council Building for a group photo after a simple ceremony in the Olympic House.

The XX Olympic Winter Games will be held on 10 – 26 February 2006 at Torino, Italy. Further to Hong Kong’s inaugural participation in Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games 2002, Hong Kong is proud to have athlete qualified for the Olympic Winter Games again.
Hong Kong athlete Ms. HAN Yue Shuang will participate in Short Track Speed Skating in the events of 500m, 1000m and 1500m. There will be 7 delegation members participating in the Games, namly, The Honorable Timothy FOK (President), Mr. PANG Chung (Honorary Secretary General cum Chef de Mission), Mr. FOK Kam Ming (Personal Assistant to President), Ms. YIP Siu Yin (Assistant Chef de Mission), Ms. CHAN Suet Ying (Team Official), Mr. LU Shuo (Coach) and Ms. HAN Yue Shuang (Athlete).
The Federation wishes the delegation return home with glories!
