XX Olympic Winter Games – Torino 2006 - Ladies Short Track Speed Skating 1500m Results

Ms. HAN Yueshuang of Hong Kong, China, participated in the Short Track Speed Skating 1500m competition on 18 February but unable to qualify for Finals. There were totally 30 skaters from 19 countries/regions competed in this event. All skaters were divided into 6 heats, and the top three skaters from each heat (totally 18 skaters) would be qualified for the Semi-finals. There were 3 heats in Semi-finals, top two skaters from each heat were qualified for Final A, and the third and fourth skaters were qualified for Final B, when both finals were held on the same day.

Ms. HAN was drawn to compete in the 4th heat with strong competitors from Bulgaria, Canada, Russia and USA, in which skaters of Bulgaria and Canada were the Silver and Bronze medallists of the Short Track Speed Skating 500m event of the Torino Olympic Winter Games. Ms. HAN achieved 2:36.233 in the 5th position in her heat. Her final position was 24th out of 30 skaters.
Ms. HAN will compete in the 1000m (Preliminary) on 22 February.
