XX Olympic Winter Games – Torino 2006

Ms. HAN Yueshuang of Hong Kong, China, participated in the Short Track Speed Skating 1000m competition on 22 February but unable to qualify for Finals to be held on 25 February. In this connection, Ms. HAN had already finished all her races in the XX Olympic Winter Games – Torino 2006.

There were totally 29 skaters from 20 countries/regions competed in 1000m event. Ms. HAN was drawn to compete with skaters from Bulgaria and France and attained the 3rd position. She achieved 1:37.883 in this event in renewing her personal best time of 1:39.78 recorded in 2005. She is temporarily ranked in 23rd position in the 1000m event, and the final rank will be confirmed after the Finals on 25 February. Ms. HAN’s overall performances in 500m, 1000m and 1500m were so far the best for the Hong Kong Delegation in the Olympic Winter Games.
Ms. HAN and her Coach Mr. LU Shuo will be arriving at Hong Kong International Airport on 28 February at 11:25am. Then, she will attend the 2005 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards Presentation Ceremony in the evening.
