XLIX Festival of Sport Opening Ceremony – Complimentary Admission Tickets

The Festival of Sport is an annual sporting spectacular organized by the Federation and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), aiming to promote the ideal of "Sport for All" in Hong Kong. The FOS will be held from March to June each year, during which over 70 sports activities will be organized for members of the public to enjoy the experiences of sports.

To promote Hong Kong's hosting of 2009 East Asian Games, the Federation will join-hand with TVB to launch a grand Opening Ceremony with the elements of sports, arts, and entertainment. TVB will cover the event and broadcast the highlights of the programme on Jade Channel at 3:30 p.m., on 2 April 2006 (Sunday).
Details of the Opening Ceremony are given as follows:
Date: 26 March 2006 (Sunday)
Time: 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Venue: Wanchai Sports Ground
Event programme: Singers and artistes will compete with elite athletes on the track, and performances by Police Silver Band, Dragon and Lion Dance, 100 Karatedo athletes and drum performers.
FOS Ambassadors: Pop singing group "SOLER" and artiste Charles Szeto (司徙瑞祈), many other singers and artists will also perform in the Ceremony!
