Youth Sports Training Camp 2006 - Open for enrollment now

The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF & OC) joins hand again with the Physical Education Department of the Hong Kong Baptist University to organize the “Youth Sports Training Camp 2006” for local secondary school students. It is hoped that Olympic spirit and sports culture will be fostered among youths through participating in different sports and cultural activities specifically designed for them.

The 3-day residential sports training camp is targeting at students aged from 13 and 16. It will be held on 24 - 26 July 2006 at the Wai Hang Sports Centre and Residence Hall of the Hong Kong Baptist University. Programmes include physical activities, educational games, cultural activities, quizzes, film show, sharing session with well known Hong Kong athletes, various competitions, etc. The sports training include swimming, basketball and table tennis, youths are invited to take part in one of them as intensive training. The medium of instruction would mainly be in Cantonese and supplemented with English. The youths could enjoy an exciting and memorable residential summer camp at a cost of only HK$1,500 (including meals and 3 souvenir T-shrits).
Entry forms are now obtainable from Physical Education teachers of secondary schools, 18 district offices of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Management Company of Olympic House Limited. You may also download the entry form from the SF & OC Website at : www.hkolympic.org . The closing date for entry is 30 June 2006. Enrolment is on first-come-first-served basis.
