2006 OCA Regional Forum for East Asian NOCs, 27 ¡V 28 May 2006, Hong Kong

We are proud to announce that the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) is entrusted by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to organize the 2006 OCA Regional Forum for East Asian National Olympic Committees, which will be held in The Park Lane Hong Kong, Causeway Bay on 27-28 May 2006 (Sat-Sun). The OCA Regional Forums were held once each year in the five respective regions: West Asia, Central Asia, South East Asia, East Asia and South Asia. The Forum is an important platform for delegates of different region¡¦s NOCs to discuss and present their researches related to sports.

The OCA Regional Forum (East Asia) was kicked off during the Opening Ceremony on 27 May 2006 (Sat), at 9:30am, in Churchill Room, 26/F, The Park Lane Hong Kong. The Forum had attracted 42 delegates from the following organizations:-
i) East Asian NOCs: China, DPR Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macau, Mongolia and Chinese Taipei
ii) Olympic Solidarity
iii) World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)
iv) Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC)
v) Changchun Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee (CAWGOC)
vi) Macau 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organizing Committee (MAIGOC)
vii) Bidding Cities of 2014 Asian Games (Delhi and Incheon)
viii) Beijing Sport University
The Open Ceremony was officiated by The Hon. Timothy T.T. FOK, GBS, JP, President of SF&OC and Vice-President of OCA (East Asia), Ms. Anissa WONG, JP, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mr. Raja Randhir Singh, Secretary General of OCA, Mr. Haider Farman, Manager of Asian Games Department of OCA, and Mr. Olivier Niamkey, Project Manager of Olympic Solidarity.
The closed door Forum started right after the Opening Ceremony, in which, nine presentations would be conducted by the following delegates:-
i) Presentation by Olympic Solidarity
ii) Presentation by DAGOC regarding the progress of the Doha Asian Games
iii) Presentation by MAIGOC regarding the progress of the Macau 2nd Asian Indoor Games
iv) Presentation by CAWGOC regarding the progress of the Changchun Asian Winter Games
v) Presentations by Dr. Zhang Liwei of Beijing Sport University: (1) Divorce of Athletes¡¦ Confidence, (2) How many times do you mirror looking today? Physical self and life satisfaction.
vi) Presentation by OCA and WADA regarding the OCA Anti-Doping Rules
vii) Presentation by Bidding Cities of 2014 Asian Games (Delhi and Incheon)
In the evening, the delegates would visit the Olympic House at 5:30pm, in which, the IOC Trophy 2006 ¡§Sport and the Community¡¨ would be presented to Mr. John CHAN Cho Chak, GBS, JP, Managing Director of The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Ltd. and the prizes would be presented to the winners of ¡§2006 Doha Asian Games Children Across Asia Art Competition ¡V Hong Kong Phase¡¨ respectively.
