The Flag Raising Ceremony of the Hong Kong, China Delegations to the 15th Asian Games was held today (30 Nov) in the Athletes’ Village with an attendance of about 80 members from the Hong Kong Delegation. We were most honoured to have The Hon. Timothy FOK, GBS, JP, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, Dr. Patrick CP Ho, Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr. Thomas Chow, JP, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, and Mrs. Vivien FUNG, JP, Chef de Mission of the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 as officiating guests.

The 15th Asian Games will be held from 1-15 December 2006. The Hong Kong Delegation with a total of 281 athletes participating in 30 sports namely Aquatics, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Billiards, Bodybuilding, Bowling, Canoe, Cycling, Equestrian, Fencing, Football, Hockey, Judo, Karatedo, Rowing, Rugby, Sailing, Shooting, Squash, Table-tennis, Tennis, Triathlon, Beach Volleyball, Indoor Volleyball, Weightlifting, Windsurfing and Wushu. We wish the Hong Kong Team a triumphant return home.
