The Eastcolight Chinese New Year Basketball Invitation Championship 2006 will start on 24 and 26 January 2006 at Southorn Stadium (Indoor). Four teams will compete for this year's trophy and $60,000 dollars' money, including local teams South China and Fukien and Tsinghua University Team and Zhong Shan Industry & Business Bureau Team from mainland. To have fun with the games, spectators are invited to play a "Half line Shooting Game" and compete for a "Best Costume Award". Lucky money will be given to 38 spectators on the event days. The Hong Kong Basketball Association is giving cell phone choker as souvenir for ticket reservations. Each online order will be given two chokers. Online bookings will start on 16 this month (www.basketball.org.hk). Tickets cost $50 and 30 (students and senior citizen discount) each.
