2nd International Olympic Committee Olympic Solidarity Sports Administrators Programme

22-28 September 2003, Hong Kong

Introduction: Sanctioned by the International Olympic Committee Olympic Solidarity, organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, the 2nd Hong Kong Sports Administrators Programme was held from 22 September 2003 to 28 September 2003 in the Sports House. This was the second time for the Federation to organize this programme. Enriched topics including Structure of Olympic Movement, Olympic Games and Working with Volunteers was covered in the one week programme to promote Olympism. Through these lectures, the programme could help to improve the knowledge and quality of sports administrators. A total number of twenty-two students from sixteen member Associations have joined the programme this year. The Federation had invited renowned sports professionals to lecture on different topics, the students of the programme have gained a lot from them. Areas covered included:- 1. Olympism; 2. Government & Sports; 3. Structure of Olympic Movement; 4. Olympic Games; 5. Anti-Doping & Sports Science; 6. Public Liability and Legal Aspect; 7. Sources of Revenue; 8. Sports Education; and 9.
