The Hong Kong Tree Planting Day was held on 20 March 2005 (Saturday) at Pak Tam Chung of Sai Kung. As invited by the Hong Kong Tree Planting Executive Committee and headed by The Hon. Timothy T.T. FOK, 48 members from Hong Kong Archery Association, Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association, Hong Kong Baseball Association, Hong Kong Ice Hockey Association Limited, Hong Kong Skating Union Limited, Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Congress, Hong Kong Underwater Association, Volleyball Association of Hong Kong, China, SF&OC Volunteers Team, staff members of SF&OC Secretariat and Management Company of Olympic House Limited participated in this meaningful environmental protection campaign.
Other organizations participated in the event included: Liaison office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, Office of Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the HKSAR, People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison, Environment Campaign Committee, Civil Aid Services, Hong Kong Scout 229 and so forth.
