It brings joy for Rebecca to recollect the vivid memories, about the victory over her Malaysian rival, Nicol David, and won her the gold medal in the 14th Asian Games in Busan, 2002. ¡§That was the zenith of my career. It left a milestone that urges me to go on. I felt pressure on my shoulders sometimes, but I won¡¦t be defeated by it. I will concentrate myself to prepare for the Asian Games in Doha next year¡¨ Little tornado (Rebecca¡¦s nickname) said.

It has been 16 years since Rebecca first picked up the squash racket, but she never feels weary of the sport her teacher first introduced to her. At first she thought squash was not more than an after-class hobby, but now she can¡¦t even imagine what life could be without the four walls of a squash court. ¡§I think I am lucky to be a squash player. It brings me friends, a career, and wide recognitions¡¨.
Among all the matches Rebecca has played in the last decade, the gold-medal winning match in Busan is surprisingly not the most memorable one. It was the game in 2000 when the Hong Kong women squash team won Malaysia by 3-2 that gave her the sweetest taste of victory. She was deeply moved by the high morale shared among the team members. Although squash is not an official event in Olympic Games, Rebecca is not frustrated and has look forward to the next Asian Games. The pressure of being a gold medal defender has not yet to show, but Rebecca has geared up her training, particular the enhancement of her physical strength.
Retirement is always a pending question for elite athletes. Rebecca, soon turning 27, has thought the question over. She signed and said, ¡§When I was small, I used to think selling herb tea can make good money, but now time has changed. I may study a master degree in business administration, kind of equip myself for the time after retirement. But things have to be confirmed. ¡§
