HONG KONG AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION

The Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association (“HKASA”) was founded in early 1950 by the President, Mr. A. de O. Sales and was constituted under the Societies Ordinance on 28th April, 1960. It has affiliated to the international swimming governing body - FINA “La Federation internationale De Natation”, the Asian swimming governing body – AASF “Asian Amateur Swimming Federation” and the SF & OC “Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China”. The HKASA currently has 128 registered affiliated clubs and over 5,000 registered athletes.
The HKASA is the national governing body for Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Synchronized Swimming, Masters Swimming and Open Water Swimming in Hong Kong. In each disciplines, the HKASA organizes various activities, competitions, advance and elite training; assist local athletes to local and international competitions and operates certification and education programmes for coaches and officials.
