The Hong Kong Little League (HKLL) is chartered with the Little League Headquarters, USA and is also a registered non-profit making sports association under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance. The business of the association is
administered by the Board of Directors, which is comprised solely of volunteers.

The HKLL has also been affiliated with the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, for 21 years. Since 1997, the HKLL has also
received indirect subvention from the Hong Kong Sports Development Board and became charity organization entitled for tax deduction from 2001.
The formal season of HKLL opens in October and ends in April every year.
Immediately after the ending of the formal season, players of Major League are selected for the All-Star Teams and organized for participation in the Asia Pacific Tournament. The Asia and Pacific Tournaments have been played in Japan,
South Korea, Taiwan and Guam each summer, lasting about 10 days. The champions of the tournament are invited to the USA to compete for the World Championship.
League Age is that age attained on August 1 in any given season. Thus, a youngster whose 12th birthday is on August 1 or later has a League Age of 12.
This principle applies regardless of age.
Tee-Ball League Age: 6-8;
Minor League Age: 8-11;
Major League Age: 9-12;
Junior League Age: 13-15.
