THE HONG KONG YACHTING ASSOCIATION

The Hong Kong Yachting Association (HKYA) is the national authority for the sport of sailing in Hong Kong. Founded as the Hong Kong Yacht Racing Federation in 1962, the HKYA was incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee in 1970. The HKYA membership consists of individuals, associations, clubs and marinas.

The HKYA is affiliated to the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), the Asian Yachting Federation (AYF) and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC).
Its objectives are to promote sailing as sport and recreation in Hong Kong and to protect the interests of the boating community. There are thirteen HKYA Recognized Teaching Centres, around Hong Kong that provide regular dinghy sailing courses from Level 1 to Level 5 to the general public. They are:-

Besides sailing courses, our Member Clubs and Member Associations, such as the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Aberdeen Boat Club , the Hebe Haven Yacht Club, Cruiser Owners Association etc., also organize a number of dinghy and cruisers races around the year.
