Sanctions of The Karatedo Federation of Hong Kong, China Limited


At the General Meeting of the SPORTS FEDERATION & OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF HONG KONG, CHINA (the Federation) held on 26 March 2018, an Ordinary Resolution was passed by majority votes to the sanctions, other than suspension of the membership, of the Karatedo Federation of Hong Kong, China Limited (KFHKCL) due to its maladministration, unfair and lack of transparency in the selection and appeal mechanism to be exercised by the Board of Officers of the Federation as they deem fit. 

The KFHKCL is thereby remanded to submit a comprehensive plan of actions and improve its corporate governance within 14 days from the date of decision and act with the level of integrity and professionalism expected of our Member Associations for the approval of the Board.  The KFHKCL is required to indicate:

(i)     a fair and transparent system in all aspects including selection, appeal mechanism, notification procedure and nomination process;

(ii)    a prudent complaint handling system; and

(iii)   an appropriate system of governance and management of its integrity, with declarations for possible conflict of interest.
