In conjunction with the Reception cum Stamp Preview Ceremony of “Congratulations to the HK, China Delegation on Winning a Bronze Medal in the Women’s Keirin Race at the London 2012 Olympic Games” co-organized with Hongkong Post held today (5 October 2012) at Jockey Club Lecture Theatre, Olympic House, Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) paid tribute to the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the London 2012 Olympic Games by presenting Medallist Lapel Pin and the Commemorative Medals to them. The event was officiated by Mr. Timothy T.T. FOK, GBS, JP, Member of International Olympic Committee (IOC) and President of SF&OC, Mr. Roy SIU, General Manager (Stamps and Philately) of Hongkong Post and Miss LEE Wai Sze, and also attended by Members of Hong Kong, China Delegation, Elected Officers of SF&OC and around 200 students from local schools.
Medallist Lapel Pin was made by the IOC with unique serial number on each pin presented by President of National Olympic Committee or IOC Member to honour the medallists of the recent Olympic Games. Mr. Timothy T.T. FOK, GBS, JP presented this special honour from the IOC on behalf of SF&OC to Miss LEE Wai Sze paying tribute to her outstanding performance on winning the bronze medal in Women’s Keirin Race. At the same time, SF&OC also presented Commemorative Medals to Members of Hong Kong, China Delegation to honour their devotion in the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Meanwhile, the Stamp Preview Ceremony of “Congratulations to the HK, China Delegation on Winning a Bronze Medal in the Women’s Keirin Race at the London 2012 Olympic Games” co-organized by SF&OC and Hongkong Post was successfully held. Mini-pane and souvenir Cover are issued to commemorate the distinguished accomplishments of the Hong Kong, China Delegation at the Games of the XXX Olympiad London 2012 and convey best wishes for sustainable sports development in Hong Kong and untiring quest to strive for new heights. Pictures on the mini-pane capture the exciting moments of Miss LEE Wai Sze in action, her victory at hand and the medal in grasp with her signature and words. All the above products are available for purchase at all Hong Kong post offices starting from 25 October 2012.
